CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

At the core of the Children’s Ministry is the knowledge that children are our future and hope. We must teach them what they need to grow into mature Christians. We the Team and the congregation together are charged with the responsibility to teach our children.

Sunday School
Sunday School at FCRH is offered for all children aged five years through fifth grade, and takes place within the classroom with a Bible-based curriculum. In addition to our Sunday School we offer childcare for all children aged 4 months to four years. We have excellent teachers who provide a nurturing environment and are excited to help your children develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Children’s Activities
Every first Sunday of the month there will be special activities, which consist i.e. of a musician to lead worship songs, a movie related to the current curriculum topic, a storyteller using Christian characters in his stories, face painting, and more.

Children’s Curriculum

• bringing children closer to other children, to their families, and to God through a relationship with Jesus
• giving children a complete overview of the Bible in three years
• engaging them with contemporary topics that speak to their lives today and help them apply their faith
• providing varied weekly activities designed to capture attention and instill lifelong Bible skills
• offering children the opportunity to articulate their faith and express the Bible’s story’s impression on their heart
• applying a variety of learning styles to ensure each child can be reached in a way that is meaningful to them
• providing a parent leaflet that helps bring the faith experience onto the home
• offering fun dramas that are interactive and reinforce the Bible’s message
• sharing lively, engaging faith songs
• providing activities that encourage friendships among children and fortify the relationship between leaders and their students
